As a business owner, camp wife and mother to young twins I have learned that part of leading a healthy and productive lifestyle starts with how you live in your home. Preparing a nutritious meal is much more likely to happen if you have ample counter space to work on, can move efficiently between work stations and can navigate items easily inside your cabinets. When a space is aesthetically pleasing, organized and meeting your needs, your mood improves, stress decreases, time is saved and life overall feels less chaotic.
This is how I approach design. I thoughtfully and analytically dive into how a client uses their space, its contents and its pain points to provide a design solution that results in a personalized, purposeful, showpiece worthy space. I follow an “everything has home and purpose” model because when your home functions well, so can you.
Professionally, I have led a successful career working in the field of Design and Production for high profile companies such as Lululemon, Aritzia and Fidelity Denim. In the corporate fashion world I effectively worked with many moving parts while managing multi-million dollar budgets, several delivery schedules all the while maintaining the design integrity of the product. I bring this skill set along with my seasoned eye for style to all of my projects.
Upon returning to the Island I joined Thomas and Birch Cabinetry Boutique as a Designer where I received extensive training in millwork design based on the standards set out by the National Kitchen and Bath Association to which I hold a membership for.
In 2019 I launched House of 4 Design to support clients who wanted a professional, organized, one-stop shop experience. Clients that don’t know where to start, are overwhelmed in the many decisions at hand and don’t know who to hire. I teamed up with my brother Jesse (of Bachmeier Construction) to specialize in kitchen and bathroom remodels from concept to completion. Jesse is Red Seal Certified with 9 years experience, has excellent work ethic and likely the nicest and most conscientiousness Carpenter you will ever meet.
